Isn't it pathetic how obsessed I am?

Today's the day that I will dedicate my post to the man who was initially called No Spammer/Not Spamalot, but this name soon turned into No Sexual Problems.

Here's the poem I got from him:
Ow bono será,
sus ojos chispeantes brillan claramente,
con la luz de la luna de levantamiento,
cuánto I desea para considerarle otra vez,
para ver su cara bonita una vez más,
las palabras no pueden expresar estas sensaciones,
Te quiero,
-su admirador secreto.. =P

I promised I'd write him back in Latin, so here you go:
Magna petis, at attemptabo scribere linguam Romanum. Enim nil volentibus arduum. Etiamnum occultus es, at qui non gravis est: quod hilarus es, et non ‘sexual problems’ habes. Donabas nobis carmina, meum erat brevem :-(. Maesta et misera eram. Promittebam rescribere, itaque hic est. Scio illud non carmen est, at attemptavi.
Te quoque amo =P,
Maxime

I'm sure it's full of mistakes but this is perfectly explainable:
1) I'm not the pope.
2) I've only been taught Latin for two and a half years now. Plus, we only learn how to translate Latin -not how to speak/write it.
And yes, I know it's not a poem, but you'll have to deal with it. Writing in Latin is already hard enough, let alone writing a poem. I have enough trouble looking up words in a dictionary.

Moving on to something else, I've spent the last few days trying to make videos using photos and pictures. Once I'd finished the Latin thing I decided to make a video to go with this post. Little did I know that my computer was going to crash three times and that I was going to have so much difficulty picking songs. I really underestimated 'editing' songs, it was as frustrating and annoying as trying to poo is for constipated people.

Anyway, here's the end result.

Enjoy.

(If you'd read the title:) Yes, yes.. it's extremely pathetic. I'm making videos and writing in Latin for someone I don't even know... Ah well. It's fun, gives me something to do.

Question: was that NSP? There's no name. And it's highly suspicious because Stephanie commented just moments before you. Anyway, if it isn't NSP then the rest of this comment is pointless, if it is NSP.. well.. read on.

Ok. Are you kidding me? You sound depressed as hell.

Music thing: I spent (what felt like) two hours working solely on the music. It kinda feels like when you spend a whole week working on a school project, and your classmate spends 20 minutes on it, but then you get the same grade. It's just a little disappointing.

Latin: Same thing, you spend ages on a project. But then the teacher says it was optional and doesn't count towards your end of year grade. That feeling.

I have to say though, great job on getting it done so quickly despite the missing music.

And to be honest, I was hoping for a great comeback to the music thing. As for the Latin, I thought you would make fun of me for being such a crappy student and not being able to write a poem.

Guess not.

*raises eyebrows*
Let's see...

Party #1: NSP
Party #2: Maxime & Stéphanie
Party #3: Nienke

- #1 writes 3 poems (French, Spanish and Italian)
- (part of)#2 writes a poem (Latin) and makes a movie (with music)
- #1 makes a movie (without music)
- #3 is working on a poem (Greek) but prolly won't have it finished very soon

To me it sounds like #1 has done most work here. He did get credit for the poems, but the movie #1 made shamelessly got bashed by #2 for not having music. (part of)#2 got no comment on her poem. She did get her movie acknowledged by the (soundless) movie mentioned earlier.
#3's suspicion is that in making a movie specially for (part of)#2, commenting on the Latin poem just slipped #1's mind.
Both party #1 and party #2 have a strong case...
However, #3 thinks that #2 shouldn't be so ungrateful and #3 also thinks that #1 shouldn't let stuff like commenting slip his mind so easily...

That prolly looked ridiculous, but whatever.

You're right, he did do most work, and I'm sorry if I seem ungrateful. Would've thought that by now you guys could notice the difference between when I'm really upset and when I'm just teasing a little. I know this is the internet, and all you see is letters, but still. I thought it was obvious I didn't have any intentions to seem ungrateful/mean/whatever.

Seriously, I'm sorry if I (and/or Stephanie) came off like a bitch. I'd just like to let you all know you sure have made me feel bad and guilty. :'( I guess you know me well enough to know how to make me feel upset, but you don't know me well enough to notice that I'm just joking a little.

Anyway, in the hopes of keeping this place a little happy:
Nienke, you still haven't noticed that it's not a poem, have you? =P

Nienke said...

Of course I have, but it was originally intended as a poem, so I'm just calling it a poem instead of "a piece of Latin prose that's actually supposed to be a poem but isn't."

Maxi-Taxi? said...

Again, that was meant as a 'joke'.

Of course I know you know that, for one you're smarter than I am and I also wrote in my post that it wasn't a poem. =P

This whole discussion and apologising from my side is absolutely pointless if NSP doesn't plan on coming back.

He better read this. I'll hunt him down and force him to if I ever find out he hasn't read it.

Nienke said...

How you gonna hunt him down, if you've got no idea who he is?

Maxi-Taxi? said...

I'll find a way of getting his IP-adress (think that's what it's called), and then I'll hire some secret detective to locate his computer. And voila.

I only said I'd hunt him down if I found out he hadn't read this. So first we have to find a way of confirming that he has indeed not read it.

Nienke said...

lol
And what if he does read it, but doesn't comment? How will you know if he's read it then?

Maxi-Taxi? said...

I won't.
That's why my 'promise' is so cool. First we actually have to know that he hasn't read it.

(Btw, about the 'He did more work'-thing. Between NSP and myself, I think I may have done more work.
So in my opinion NSP shouldn't be mad at me, but at you guys because you didn't do anything back =P

And I never said his movie sucked or whatever.

So yeah. I don't feel guilty or bad about myself anymore.)
