My ECOSOC & THIMUN thoughts.

It's the second to last day of THIMUN now. All we have left now are the 8 or 9 hours tomorrow, and then the party. Rather than typing a long story of the week so far, I'm going to 'summarise' the week so far my way.

Monday
- Wow, never thought walking on heels could be so scary - try avoiding slippery floors and stairs when wearing pumps.
- A whole day of lobbying is really too much too ask.
- Right. We're sitting here in a group of 15 or so, working 'together.' Nah, actually it's just UNHCHR, ILO, OCHA and a few other delegates. Brazil & Russian Federation have hardly contributed.
- Damn, this week is gonna suck. I hate the lunches already.
- First night of THIMUN = go out. (Dutch emo kids at the cafe! Waah! =O)
- Is Guyana the emo Spaniard or not??
- So in the first three days Nienke's been gone, we went out twice? Interesting.

Tuesday
- Holy shit it's cold.
- Museon? So, we have to, uh, walk? On these shoes?
- Woohoo icy ground. Cold, very cold feet.
- Yay I'm such a loner now that Stephanie went to the Approval Panel.
- Lunches suck.
- And I chose to do MUN because...? I've never liked debating, I've never liked public speaking. It makes no sense.

Wednesday
- Halelujah only half a day.
- Why does everyone want to go to Delft? Seriously guys, if you want to leave The Hague, go to Amsterdam.
- And how exactly were the Chairs planning to discuss eleven issues in the next few days?
- How nice to find out after 15 mins in the cold that the tram won't leave till over 90 minutes.
- You can not call a muffin and a bottle of water a lunch.

Thursday
- Yes, we love you too honourable, esteemed, distinguished (and all the other words) Chairs. We know our notes are the greatest and that they flatter you.
- Oh, Panama? Tonight? Ummm... we'll see. No promises.
- Stupid photographer. Funny photos need to be spontaneous, you can't freaking plan them.
- Our Chairs this week are the coolest chairs we've ever had. Farting fans are the best.
- We keep forgetting Maltesers.
- You said we'd be ajourned for lunch at 12.30!
- Why the hell does the admin give Stephanie all the notes?
- We are so going to buy liquorice for our beloved tiny President, weird Deputies and of course Korean (not Chinese, not Japanese) Rapporteur.
- Stupid female admins. The guy in blue shirt is the best admin.

This is all for now, but in the course of tomorrow and the weekend I'll probably add stuff.

Right now though, I'm going to find myself some other clothes (I'm not leaving the house in these sweat pants), eat dinner, take a shower and then go to the centrum. See if we can find the Dutch emos again and otherwise meet some other THIMUN people.
