The pleasure of firsts.

The week isn't over, and yet it's already been a week of firsts.

- First time since 06 that I had strawberries with cream, which - might I add - were absolutely delicious.
- First time since 06 that I cycled home without a sweater on.
- First time that Nienke and Stephanie are going to a concert without me. And it's not only FOB that I'm missing, I'm also missing the many moshing classmates. I'm still heartbroken about it all. :'(
- First time I since 06 that we had a lesson outside in the sun.
- First time I got a 9.0 for a test I didn't even study for. It was about The Importance Of Being Earnest, and I didn't it or watch the movie. I only spent 45 minutes reading a summary and asking Nienke about the story. And yet, I got a higher grade than other students that did work for it. I think playing (being?) innocent in class finally paid off.
- First time I actually spoke to my German teacher. I'm pretty sure I haven't said a word to him all year.
- First time I since May 06 that I decided to download the newest iTunes. I'm glad I did it. The new version is so much better than the one I had. And I didn't even have to convert all my WMA-files in iTunes, it all went automatically. Yay!
- First time I was bummed that I had a free period. OMGzers.
- First time I got the highest grade of the class/year for an exam. OMG xD. I am the bomb. ^_^
- First time I've done absolutely no research for my next MUN conference. I don't even know what our issues are yet! I only know that I'm representing São Tomé and Príncipe, two islands to the West of Africa. All I know about them islands is that 95% of the export is cacao.
- First time I screwed up an ANW test. Never thought that'd be possible, especially when the test is about energy and fuels. -__-'
- First time I feel severely injured. I swear, there's got to be something with my hips/pelvis/back. Thing is, I don't know where exactly the pain is. It just... hurts.
- First time I've confessed to liking a Christina Aguilera song. O____o
- First time I really messed up a cake. I made the most simple cake ever, and screwed up. Difficult cakes that take a whole afternoon to make, I can handle, but the most simple cake - something even an 8 year old can make - I can't handle.
- First time I see light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Not only am I happier than ever and more optimistic since the winter, my grades also seem to be improving. I guess putting my mind to something really does work.

I like firsts. Hoping to see more in the near future. Whether it be first time I find the courage to stand up spontaneously during an MUN conference, or the first time since 06 that I go to the beach, I don't care. It's just nice to have a change since this rather depressing winter.

For now though, all I want is for the weather to stay this way. Although... a few degrees warmer in the morning wouldn't be that bad. It's still quite chilly at 07:45.
