Road Monstrosities.

Being a regular TV-watcher and a not-so regular book reader, I often prefer to base many of my philosophies on TV-episodes rather than on books. Especially Scrubs has been a great inspiration for me.

Those of you that have ever watched South Park on a regular basis, may recall an episode called Grey Dawn (episode 10 from season 7 – yes I looked that up 8-)) about old people that had to turn in their driver’s licenses. I decided from the moment I watched that episode, that people who look older than 70 should not be driving cars. Keep them in the backseat, please.

Last Saturday was a nightmare come true. I was driving in our car with my dad (or should it be my dad was driving in our car with me?) when out of the blue came a grey/silver Toyota Yaris. Packed with grannies.

I didn’t want to let my dad feel the panic I was in, so I screamed silently in my head. I was scared things would go wrong if I freaked out. I held my breath and hoped we would not crash and burn. The grey monster slowly passed us, I dared not look to the left, as I feared looking into granny eyes.

After what felt like an eternity, but was in fact no more than ten seconds, the grannies had passed us – without crashing into us, surprisingly. I feel sorry for all the people inside the car behind us though. They escaped a near death experience as the Toyota almost hit them.

Guys, please keep your grannies in the backseat. There's a reason public transport tickets are often cheaper for senior citizens.

[Decided to remove the music player from my blog. Wasn't worth all the whining people gave me. Hmmpf. I'll probably put up a song from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis anymore.]
